Rangers trade for Vladimir Tarasenko in blockbuster deal with Blues

The New York Rangers have acquired four-time NHL All-Star Vladimir Tarasenko from the St. Louis Blues, the team announced on Twitter.

In the trade, New York will send a conditional first-round pick in 2023 and and a conditional fourth-rounder in 2024 to St. Louis, along with Sammy Blais and Hunter Skinner.

The Rangers will also get defenseman Niko Mikkola in the deal.

Tarasenko, 31, has played his entire 11-year career with the Blues, helping lead the team to a Stanley Cup championship in 2019. He has 262 career goals, with 10 so far this year in 38 games.
