Foster
joined CMC Markets in 2019 and brought with him almost two decades’ worth of
experience, primarily in equity markets. He has a deep understanding of custodial
equities, equities lending, and structured equity products. This move will
ensure that CMC Markets Connect’s institutional clients in the APAC region can
continue to receive the same level of support and benefit from Peter’s knowledge
and understanding of physical equities

banking and custodial equities divisions. Before joining CMC Markets, he was
also associated with Kennedy Partners, where he held the director position.

Online
Trading services provider, CMC Markets, decided to rebrand its institutional
business division, CMC Institutional, to CMC Markets Connect more than two
years ago. The trading company from London has been offering B2B services for the
past 20 years and offers liquidity to global institutional clients, including
brokerages, banks, dealing desks and funds.
CMC’s
recent rebranding is a step in its efforts to broaden institutional offerings,
as it has unveiled a range of new innovations that were rolled out during 2021
and 2022.
“Our
continuous innovation and investment in trading technology means that we are
able to respond consistently to changing markets. Through a single connection,
our clients have access to multiple asset classes worldwide allowing them to
seamlessly execute their chosen strategy and increase revenue potential,”
CMC Markets Connect stated in a press release.
Number of New Hires in
2022
Back in
June 2022, Kim Ljung Anderson was appointed to Head of Institutional Products
Solutions at CMC Markets Connect. In the past, he served as the Director of
Saxo Advanced Solutions at Saxo Bank for over 18 years.
In the meantime,
CMC Markets Connect informed that Sam Horowitz has joined the company as the
Head of FX Distribution and Liquidity Management. Before he bolstered the institutional
arm of CMC Markets, he served as an advisor on brokerage’s wholesale expansion.
At the beginning
of last year, the liquidity provider announced the appointment of Johan Koo as
an Institutional Sales Manager. Based in Sydney, he focuses on the business of
the Asia-Pacific region.
